Sometime in the spring of 2025, Mike and I got together to catch up. He was in one of those moods where the ideas just bubbled out — fundraising ideas, and plans for the future, and organizations he wanted to support, and starting a Chinese Checkers meetup just for fun.  He thought that if he had one place for all his fundraising efforts, it would make it easier for friends to decide which cause to support. This is the page that Mike and I were working on in preparation for 2026. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to complete it.

This was Mike in my experience — always thinking of others. He never hesitated to ask for help if it meant helping someone else. He wasn’t afraid to be vulnerable when an idea didn’t work out. He was almost incomprehensibly optimistic, endlessly generous, and a source of joy and inspiration to nearly everyone who knew him.

I’m sharing this unfinished page as a small testament to Mike Alancourt — my friend, my co-captain for Team Springfield, and a cheerleader for every good cause he touched. It was a privilege to know him.     ~ JMN
